What is Railroad Music?
We’re pleased to be able to offer catalogues of top quality music from acclaimed, established Scottish artists and new, up and coming talent alike, all at very reasonable rates. To simplify things further, all the music within our catalogues has been “pre-cleared” meaning you can license on the spot, with no waiting around! We have approached all the “Rights-holders” of each individual piece of music we represent and we have been granted permission for you to use the music within your project. We have negotiated very reasonable rates which cover the synchronisation fee for both the “master” and “composition” rights (please note our prices exclude any additional royalties due for performing rights in both the song and recording so please contact your local collection agency to see if further fees apply).

Railroad Music was established in 2013 by Tommy Reilly and Jen Anderson to represent the best of music from north of the border. Railroad Music is a music catalogue and sync agency featuring the best music from Scottish bands and artists. Railroad uses an efficient user interface, more filters and better tagging to allow clients to quickly find the right music for their project. The result is a powerfully simple one-stop resource where clients can easily locate exclusive songs and instrumentals, then license them quickly and easily. In many cases a desired track can also be customized upon request. The Railroad search engine now features approximately 200, exclusively represented songs and instrumentals from such in-demand artists as Giant Fang, Vigo Thieves and Discopolis. The catalog also offers composers Richy Carey, Luciano Rossi and Josh Sabin among many other well known composers. Tracks can be searched via a wide variety of criteria including genre, mood, tempo and lyrics keywords. Music Search Our website allows you to search songs by artist, song title, keyword, lyric, tempo, mood and similar artists. You can also tell us exactly what you are looking for and we will find it for you. Clearance/Licensing The majority of the music in our catalogue is easily cleared by one email or phone call to us and if it needs to be cleared from a label and publisher we can do that too. Music Supervision We can also music supervise your project for you. We can search and source music, clear and license the use of all music, find relevant composers, oversee the budget and provide the cue sheets and documents. Music Composition/Sound Design We also have a team of composers and sound designers to provide a soundtrack for your project.
